About Us

Women Aspire, a non-profit organization.  Women Aspire has been operational in Wichita, Kansas since 2014.  We provide mentorship and educational resources to assist women and children in poverty and abusive situations to gain or reclaim a healthy lifestyle.

In 2022, we began Aspire Academy a division of Women Aspire. It is a part of our Family Education Project (FEP).  The Family Education Project is designed to help parents break the chains of generational poverty. FEP’s mission is to provide hope and resources to parents pursuing education through vocational, technical, or college institutions.

Aspire Academy resides inside Urban Preparatory Academy of Wichita – a kindergarten through eighth-grade school that is predominantly African-American. Women Aspire leases two classrooms in use for daycare during daytime school hours. In addition, we will use these same two classrooms, plus the library and gymnasium for before and after school care for school-aged children K – Age 12 (total 80 capacity). In the future, we will have second-shift care for parents working late or pursuing educational opportunities.

Meet our CEO/Founder

Rev. Stephanie Stovall is a
dedicated woman of God.

Rev. Stovall holds a Bachelor’s degree
in education, a Bachelor’s degree in
theology, and a Master’s degree in
administration. She is a dedicated
professional with thirty years of experience within the Wichita Public Schools in teaching, administration, leadership, and behavior intervention.

During her tenure as an educator, she has
encountered many young women who
have found themselves in precarious and
undesirable situations. Some are aging out of
foster care, and others are moving
themselves and their children from one
house to another, unable to secure a stable
environment. With a sense of understanding
and empathy, she felt the call to do more to
help these women and children.
Having experienced being a single mom
herself, she understood the struggle. It was
time to give back and help other women.

The Nurturing & Caring Environment For Your Child

CLASSROOM DISCIPLINE

Classroom discipline is maintaining a climate in the classroom that provides for a good self-image as well as encourages emotional, social, and academic growth.

Clear and consistent guidelines are set that establish a sense of safety and love for each child in their individual classroom.

Aspire Academy uses the Conscious Disciple Curriculum and other research based classroom management strategies. We empower children to make choices.  Children are involved in making decisions about appropriate individual and group behavior.  We want to work with families and ensure continuity between home and Center behavior management practices.  If problems arise, they will be addressed in parent/teacher conferences.  We want children to be successful.

Healthcare

Each student enrolled is required to have a physical exam before enrolling at Aspire Academy.  The health assessment form in the enrollment packet must be completed by the attending physician and be returned before the child’s first day of attendance.  Each year, a physician must complete a new health assessment form.
